What weight rod do you reconmend to cast this type of fly.. Wah! this crab sure the bone fish cannot tahan la.. Nice for you to post this fly, hope all the people going to Maldives can tie this fly..

Cheers,

Yes, Razor... I apply 95% of the epoxy at bottom and a thin coat on the shell....

The epoxy gave the crab a good weight... the bead chain is to enable the crab sink in proper posture.....( just like clouser.. bead chain go first...)

I believe min 7-8wt will be ideal.... as the crab is quite heavy.... crab fly...we aim to go for the Trigger fish, Permit and Bonefish last....

To those who have tried tying Bob Popovick's surf candies.... try using Polar Flash....

The old version of surf candy in slinky fiber

The latest tied in Polar Flash fiber

Cheers.... happy tying...

I have tied a sculpin minnow in craft fur.... I called it... craft fur sculpin minnow.... but the disadvantage of craft fur sculpin is the size... and weight......

Thus... trying with many different material.... now... I came up with this one.... using Polar fiber.... I call it......... Polar Sculpin

Ummmm.... still yet have lots to improve.......
